9. Madikeri Fort and Palace:-

The Madikeri Fort is located about 500 meters from the Madikeri Bus Stand and is situated on a hill that was built by Muduraja in 1681. The clay structure was remodeled by Tipu Sultan. Muduraja also built a thatched roof palace here. that was renovated by Lingarajendra II in 1814, and then in 1933, the British added a clock- tower to it. Nearby are two startlingly life-like masonry elephants. The fort’s Veerabhadra Temple was demolished and a Gothic-style Anglican church built in its place in 1855. The church now has a museum that displays historical objects related to Kodava life.

      2. Nagarhole National Park:-


      The name Nagarhole is derived from Naga, which means snakes and holes are referred to as streams. The park is also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park located in Kodagu and Mysore districts. Kannada is the local language around the National Park. Nagarhole Park has been declared the 37th Tiger Reserve in India. It is also considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Three parks named Bandipur, Mudumalai, and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary are near Nagarhole.

      Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, dull bears, striped hyena hunters can be seen in the park. Vegetarian animals like elephants, chital, sambar deer, and barking deer are also seen around the national park.
